This 30-ton electric arc furnace is a three-phase AC melting unit designed for mini steel plants, foundries, and rebar producers that run a daily melting cycle. The shell, roof, electrode arms, and tilting platform are supplied as a single assembly, with the hydraulic power unit and electrical room documented for site installation.
Scrap or direct reduced iron is charged through the roof or by bucket. The arc melts the charge under a foaming slag, the furnace tilts for slagging, and the melt is refined to the required carbon content and temperature before tapping into a ladle. Power input is stepped through the transformer tap changer, and the electrode regulation keeps arc length stable as the charge collapses.
The shell is built from water-cooled panels so the refractory is protected at the hot spots. The roof swings clear for charging, the electrode arms are mounted on a mast with hydraulic clamping, and the tilting platform is driven by two hydraulic cylinders with position feedback. All movements are interlocked, and the operating desk displays transformer step, arc current, and shell temperature.
Suited to 30-ton heats in rebar, section steel, and cast iron foundry work. For each project we confirm the transformer rating, the charge mix, the tapping temperature, and whether a ladle furnace station is included. We then issue the layout, utility list, and foundation loads for civil works.
Equipment lead time is 90 days from drawing approval, packed in sea-worthy crates with the hydraulic unit and electrical panels protected. Installation supervision, commissioning, and operator training are quoted with the project. Remote warranty support is provided by video diagnosis with a spare parts list; the standard warranty period is 24 months.
Shell, roof, electrode arms and regulation, tilting platform, hydraulic power unit, transformer interface, operating desk, and the electrical and utility documentation. Civil works and the transformer itself are quoted separately.
Yes. We set the charge mix with you during design; the transformer taps and foaming slag practice are configured for your scrap quality and target tapping temperature.
Equipment lead time is 90 days. Site erection and cold commissioning are scheduled with your contractor; supervision days are quoted per project.
24 months on mechanical and hydraulic components under normal operation, with remote diagnosis support and a recommended spare parts list.
