Product Description
100TPD End-Fired Glass Melting Furnace with Regenerator for Container Glass Production
The JEFFER End-Fired Glass Melting Furnace is a regenerative horse-shoe flame melting system designed for small-to-medium glass factories producing container glass (bottles, jars), tableware (goblets, bowls), and colored glass. With a daily melting capacity ranging from 30 to 150 tonnes per day (TPD), this furnace model features outstanding thermal efficiency and stable glass quality for soda-lime and lead-free glass production.

Working Principle
Raw batch materials including silica sand, soda ash, limestone, dolomite, and cullet are transported into the melting zone via batch charger. Combustion air is preheated to above 1000°C inside regenerator chambers and delivered to burner ports to mix with natural gas or heavy oil. The flame forms a horseshoe trajectory, radiating heat onto batch materials through radiation and convection. After a fixed cycle (15-20 minutes), gas flow reverses, with flue gas passing through the opposite regenerator to heat checker bricks. This regenerative heat recovery system reduces fuel consumption by 40-50% compared to non-regenerative furnaces. Molten glass flows through the throat to the working end and forehearth for temperature homogenization before proceeding to forming machines.
Key Advantages
  • High Thermal Efficiency: Regenerative air preheating reduces specific fuel consumption to 1,100-1,400 kcal per kg glass
  • Custom Refractory Lining: Fusion-cast AZS blocks for melting zone, high alumina bricks for superstructure, silica bricks for regenerator
  • Multiple Fuel Choices: Supports natural gas, heavy oil, diesel, and dual-fuel burners
  • PLC/DCS Automatic Control: Real-time monitoring and adjustment for furnace pressure, temperature, fuel-air ratio, and reversing cycle with three operation modes
  • Global Running References: Multiple operational projects with normal furnace campaign life of 6-8 years

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the typical delivery and installation timeline?
Engineering design takes 4-6 weeks, manufacturing 10-14 weeks, on-site installation and commissioning 8-12 weeks, subject to furnace capacity. A typical 100 TPD project can be put into operation within 8-10 months after contract signing.
Can this furnace be customized for colored glass or special glass formula?
Yes. JEFFER customizes melting area, throat structure and forehearth zoning for amber, flint, green or opal glass. Our engineering team will evaluate your batch formula before finalizing furnace design.
Do you provide after-sales service and spare parts?
Yes. We provide 12-month warranty after commissioning, lifelong technical consultation, and stable spare parts supply including AZS blocks, burners and control system components.
