60t/d Refractory Material End-Fired Furnace

 

1.Introduction

End Fired Furnace is also known as End Port Furnace or Horseshoe Fired Furnace. It is an industrial thermal processing unit where combustion burners are installed at one end or both ends of the furnace chamber. The hot gas flow generated by combustion travels along the longitudinal direction of the furnace, transferring heat to the glass batch materials. The furnace is designed with combustion ports arranged along the furnace length and features a U-shaped flame path.

The flame coverage area of an end fired furnace is relatively small, and the periodic flame reversal causes fluctuations in temperature and shifts in the location of the hottest zone.

Additionally, the number of ports restricts the maximum furnace width and overall scale. End fired furnaces are well suited for producing various hollow glass products such as bottles, jars, chemical instruments, bubble shells, and glass tubes. They are also capable of manufacturing pressed glass items and glass balls for applications that do not demand extremely high glass quality.

The typical melting capacity ranges from 30 to 500 tons per day, and in certain configurations outputs up to 700 tons per day have been achieved. However, the furnace size is primarily limited by flame length and crown span, particularly in the burner port area.
