Clear Figure Glass Production Line Single Roll Calender for Pattern Glass Production
1. Brief introduction
Figured glass, also known as patterned glass or pressed glass, is a type of decorative glass with a textured surface. It is produced through a pressing or embossing process, creating a variety of geometric or artistic patterns on the glass surface. The patterns are visible from one side but remain opaque on the other side. It is often used for architectural applications or decorative purposes. It is used for homes, restaurants, office interiors, hotels and other venues. It can help protecting the personal privacy and controlling the inflow of light
Pattern glass not only offer decorative benefits to architects, builders, interior designers for a range of exciting applications in homes, restaurants, office interiors, hotels and other venues, but also help protecting privacy and absorbing the sunlight.

The production of figured glass, which features decorative textures or patterns, involves a two-step process: first creating a flat glass base and then applying texture or shape through secondary processing. Below is a structured description based on relevant industrial methods.
(1) Production of flat glass base
Molten glass, composed of raw materials like silica sand, soda ash, and limestone, is melted in a furnace at approximately 1550°C to form a homogeneous, bubble-free liquid.
This liquid flows into a float bath containing molten tin, where it spreads uniformly due to gravity and surface tension, resulting in a flat, polished surface with consistent thickness (typically 3-19 mm).
The glass ribbon is gradually cooled in an annealing lehr to relieve internal stresses, then cut into standardized sheets after inspection.
(2)Texture or sample application (Secondary process)
For textured surfaces (e.g., frosted or geometric patterns), patterned rollers press the glass during cooling to imprint permanent designs, often involving grinding or molding techniques for decorative effects.
For curved or 3D shapes (e.g., automotive or architectural elements), the flat glass is reheated to its softening point (around 600°C) and formed using custom molds under pressure or gravity to achieve complex contours
6. Features
Textured Surface: Features permanent embossed patterns on one side (e.g., floral, geometric, or abstract designs like katarachi, nashiji, or diamond), creating unique light diffusion effects
Privacy Function: The textured surface obscures visibility while allowing light transmission, ideal for shower doors, partitions, and windows requiring privacy
Tactile Stereoscopic Effect: Patterns retain a tangible 3D texture that never fades over time, enhancing decorative appeal
Functional versatility
Post-Processing Flexibility: Can be cut, tempered, laminated, drilled, or printed to meet specific project requirements.
Material Options: Available in clear, tinted, or colored variants (e.g., bronze moran glass), with thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 8mm.
