1. Brief Description
 
Sodium silicate is a kind of water solubility silicate, it is also known as water glass. Its production methods are divided into dry process (solid phase method) and wet process (liquid phase method).
 
Chemical forluma of Liquid Water Glass Product is R2O·nSiO2 or Na2O·nSiO2.
 
Physical and chemical properties: white square crystals or spherical particles. The relative density is 0.7-1.0, and the melting point is 72.2°C. It is easily soluble in water and dilute lye, insoluble in alcohol and acid, and the aqueous solution is alkaline. It is easy to absorb moisture and deliquescence in the exposed air. It has detergent emulsification, dispersion, wetting, permeability and pH buffering capabilities. The concentrated solution has corrosive effects on plants and skin.
